The road into Tri Trang meanders past several international brand resorts such as the Amari and luxury Rosewood Resort along with other smaller resorts as well. There is a small population of local residents also dotted along the route in. There are several good photo opportunities from the high vantage points along the route to get good views across Patong and towards Kamala as well.
On the reverse side there is a track past Freedom beach that gives some fantastic views to Karon and Kata beyond. This track is slated to be upgraded into a scenic route in the future, thus providing shorter access to the Karon and Kata areas of the island.
The area also boasts several superb beaches, all within the headland. Tri Trang beach is a large sandy beach and faces Patong Bay. Merlin beach is a small beach facing south-west out over the Andaman Ocean to the horizon and less than 100 meter walk from our property. Paradise beach, is a very popular westerly-facing sandy beach at the far end of the headland. As a private beach (the beach access is Private rather than beach itself) , you’ll need to pay a small fee for the access but get a chair and drinks usually included for the fee.
Patong beach as already indicated is just 5 minutes away and also access to Freedom beach. Head further beyond to Karon and Kata is about 10 to 15 minutes by car.
